Our very first That Crypto Hustle event in Barcelona was jam packed. Over 200 individuals, attended our event. Our goal was to provide a broad overview of the possibilities within the Cryptocurrency / Blockchain ecosystem. We invited a variety of panelist to discuss the opportunities within Blockchain technology along with the future of Cryptocurrency investing.
Our panelist included:
Some of the topics we discussed included, the future of blockchain and whether or not technologies like hashgraph could disrupt it. Per Daniel Rodriguez, Blockchain can help create a more egalitarian world, it can remap the Internet as we know it, and provide solutions to today’s problems. Yes potential regulations could come in. Agencies and governments could potentially try to stop this technological shift. But overall, the consensus was that no one can stop the Blockchain revolution because of its decentralized nature.
Beyond our philosophical pondering, our panelists also discussed the financial opportunities of Cryptocurrencies. Robert anticipated a crash which could last until March 2017. He pulled from his financial experience working as a prime broker at Merrill Lynch in London. He reckoned that what we witnessed in Q4 2017 was too aggressive, and we ought to witness a correction. An example, he shared with us was the market valuation of Cardano which looked alarming. Cardano, a startup with no product, was worth $33 billion in only 4 months of its trading history. In his article, he illustrates that we entered an exponential bubble last year and what some of the repercussions could be.
Regardless of the bubble, our speakers Danny de Haas and Lukas Polakowski have been able to make profits from their investments. Notably, Luka Polakowski has been swing trading with the help of a trading bot. He discussed his specific strategy of investing on the exchangers like Binance, etc… The mass adoption of cryptocurrency inevitably means more users in the exchangers and hence more room for profits.
Now, we have to apologize as the recording is not 100%. We promise to fix following for our next event. Meanwhile, to stay in touch and attend one of our events around the world, please make sure to join our closed Facebook Group >>>
